Hello folks,
I have been in Switzerland for the past week. On Monday I did a masterclass at the Zürich University of the Arts along with Brazilian bassist Dudu Penz and Swiss drummer Pius Baschnagel. We had dozens of students playing along with us in a perfect example of the power of creative music. On Thursday night our trio played for the first time at Moods Jazz Club in Zürich, and lots of people packed the room. Here’s a short clip of us playing my composition Festa de Erê with special guest Rodrigo Botter Maio on soprano sax:
Next week I will be in Estonia playing four concerts in a duo with virtuoso bassoonist Martin Kuuskmann. It will be my first time visiting that country. We will perform music by Tom Jobim, Radamés Gnattali, Hermeto Pascoal and myself. Here is a shot from Tallinn showing the poster for our upcoming concerts:
Once again I am grateful for the possibility to share music with people all over. In such a divided world, I am happy to focus on what unites us.
Thanks for your support!
