Tree Music
Music for the trees with the trees.
Hello folks,
Some of you know that I am a biologist who plays music, or a musician who draws inspiration from nature. Most of my gigs take place in closed venues, but this week we have an opportunity to play in the open for an “standing-room audience” of oaks, douglas firs, spruces and maples. You are also invited!
This Wednesday, August 5 from 6 to 8PM I will be playing with my Quinteto alongside Darian Asplund on sax and flute, Moe Weisner on bass, Mark Ivester on drums and Jeff Busch on percussion at the Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle. I will bring my keyboard, flute and melodica. We will make music inspired by the trees for the trees, and you are all welcome to attend and join us in a musical celebration of life, as we ask these magnificent trees to send cooling vibes to their relatives in Eastern Washington that are burning right now.
The whole world is feeling the effects of human-created harm to our planet, and it is crucial that we gather as a community and send healing energy to all those in need, humans, animals and plants around the world.
Of course, we can also vote!
Hope to see you soon!
Obrigado,
Jovino
